MAY FIRST FRIDAY FESTIVAL PROMISES TO BE THE BIGGEST ONE YET!

Downtown Marion’s May First Friday Festival will be full of opportunities for art, community, and entertainment on May 2, 2014.  Come join us for the most exciting festival to hit downtown Marion from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the First Friday of May!  While May’s Festival will be our only festival this year, we will have something to celebrate downtown on the First Friday of every month of 2014!!  Downtown Marion is the place to be for a unique riverfront experience, boutiques, hometown bars, exciting art exhibits, events, activities and free entertainment.

Mind the parking and general information signs this year!!  Better signage has been created to provide a better flow for everyone at the event.  Due to the expansion of the event area, parking has been moved to other areas in the downtown district.  The City of Marion transportation department will provide a shuttle service for those that need assistance getting to the festival site.

There are several different themed areas to look for this year – kids area, food truck area, refresh zone, Walk of Hope & Cancer Services of Grant County HQ, Mall of Hope by the Centrum Boutique Shoppes and Suites, GM’s Really Big Show, YMCA Healthy Kid’s Area, ABATE Hog Daze & Motorcycle Safety Awareness, & LIVE ENTERTAINMENT!!

Main Street Marion is the independent nonprofit downtown association that inspires, unifies and champions the Downtown Marion Experience.  We are your direct connection to the social and business hub of downtown.  Main Street Marion is 100% funded by your donations!  Want to get involved?  Check out the event page @MainStreetMarion on Facebook.  Expect the unexpected and come play with us!  We look forward to seeing you on May 2.  Thank you!!
