Gallery 215 – Now you see it. Now you don’t! It’s an art gallery that features local artist in available space downtown Marion for one night only! For our first pop-up art gallery, Main Street Marion has partnered with the Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours and will launch the event on the First Friday of September.
Gallery 215 transforms an empty storefront in the Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce building (215 S Adams St, downtown Marion) into cultural exhibits open to the public on September 5th from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Patrons are encouraged to mingle and peruse the space. Enjoy delicious wine and cheese. Explore local art work of various mediums. Relax with musical performances by violinist Shane Laubach of the Heartstrings Ensemble and pianist Peg Wright. And, obtain information about one of downtown’s entrepreneurial treasures!
The Gallery program, which establishes partnerships between artists and property owners with available space downtown, creates a temporary gallery, exhibition and interactive space at no cost to the artist in prime available downtown Marion locations. It’s a creative approach to enlivening and improving the downtown. A new gallery will pop up downtown Marion every three months for one night only beginning September 5th at 5 p.m. on 215 S. Adams St.
