June First Friday Kick Off!

The June First Friday Celebration will kick-off at The Quilters Hall of Fame, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.  There will be mouthwatering Jefferson Street barbecue, museum tours, and live entertainment!  The Quilters Hall of Fame Stage will include, Layla Adair Price from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

After you have gained new knowledge about Marion’s quilting heritage, stroll down to the riverfront for the traditional riverfront festival!  Rocking out on the main stage is Cook & Belle from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Invite your friends for a game of laser tag!  Stroll vendor alley along Adams Street.  Enjoy a tasty treat from the food trucks!

First Friday is a monthly downtown celebration that encourages collaboration between non-profit, university, and commercial venues in Marion, IN. This initiative showcases downtown venues by promoting the First Friday evening of each month as a community night for experiencing what our local community has to offer. First Friday ensures a healthy city through regular exchange and discussion between venues, artists and patrons.

Main Street Marion is an independent 501c3 nonprofit downtown association that inspires, unifies and champions the Downtown Marion Experience. Our goal with the new First Friday structure is to orient people to the downtown district, highlight different downtown venues, and attract diverse audiences, entrepreneurs, and consumers.

Expect the unexpected!  Come play with us!  We look forward to seeing you on on the first Friday of every month downtown.
